A series of drawing machines and projections will present the outcome of the reverse engineering of images and text produced by pioneers of digital art, such as Georg Nees, Frieder Nake, and Manfred Mohr. Through the analysis of computer-aided silkscreen prints made in the 1970s, the exhibition explores some of the persistent questions attendant on digitally-aided art: the agency of the artist versus the machine, the end of objecthood, and the integration of technology into our everyday lives.
