Performances
The evenings of Electric Fields are always filled with rich audio-visual experiences and 2012 is no different. From clean and elegant digital landscapes to down and dirty dance floors, each performance a new perspective, each night a new discovery.
We open the festival in collaboration with our sister organization Daimon for a world premier of Nicholas Bernier’s new performance work Frequencies. EF2011 collaborator Jesse Stewart continues his exploration of the relationship of sound and space in conjunction with our keynote address from Barry Blesser and Linda-Ruth Salter. On Friday, we will return to St-Brigids for a co-presentation with The Ottawa Art Gallery and Daimon for four of Montréal most exciting experimental artists including the award winning Chambres des machines from Nicolas Bernier and Martin Messier, alongside This is not design and Roger Tellier-Craig. On the delicate side, ArtTV will present a new performance from Donna Legault and Véronique Guitard that will reveal the beautiful compositions hidden in the imperceptible end of the sound spectrum. Finally, we continue our collaborations with A Tribe Called Red for an expanded version of their now international parties - the Electric Pow Wow!
