Please join us for a screening and artist talk by Ella Morton. Morton (she/her) is a Canadian visual artist and filmmaker whose expedition-based practice has brought her to residencies and projects across Canada, Nordic Europe, Greenland, Latin America, Australia and Antarctica. Working primarily with lens-based media, she uses experimental analogue processes to capture the sublime and fragile qualities of remote and increasingly vulnerable landscapes.

Following a short talk where Morton will discuss her use of the photographic darkroom technique mordançage in her filmmaking practice, will screen three short moving image works, Crushed Between Ocean and Sky (2023/25 min.), Wanderer (2024/12 min. ) and An Uncertain Eternity (2025/36 min.).
