About the event

The
Lexicon of Blurry Lines is an exhibition offering an intimate dialogue around the form and writing of paper. With allusions to shipwrecks and balls of paper crumpled during the creative process, the artist's works lead us to encounter drifting archipelagos
where immense site-specific sculptures take shape within the exhibition space. True staging, his work explores the limits of illusion and reveals new narrative dimensions to paper.

Sébastien
Gaudette lives and works in Montreal. Gaudette’s works have been exhibited in various locations across Quebec, including the Sherbrooke and Mont-Saint-Hilaire Museums of Fine Arts, the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Jonquière National Exhibition Centre,
the Langage Plus Exhibition Centre in Alma, the Art-Image Complex in Gatineau, Cirque du Soleil, and several cultural centres throughout the province. He has also participated in charitable events, including the auction at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal
(2021) and the Laurentides auction (2023 and 2024).

Internationally,
he has been invited to exhibit at the Art Helix Gallery in Brooklyn and the Galerie Goutal in France and has presented his work at numerous international art fairs, including Art Karlsruhe in Berlin, Art on Paper in Miami, Seattle Art Fair, Expo Chicago Art
Fair, Toronto Art Fair, and Foire Plural in Montreal. The artist has also completed several research residencies in Quebec and the United States, which have allowed him to explore his creative process in different contexts.
