Local Botanical Artists Exhibit: Plants That Nurture Body and Soul

At Gallery 200 in Ottawa, 24 local botanical artists will exhibit over 35 works focused on plants that nurture mental health and emotional well-being as well as physical health provided by crops or medicinal plants. The exhibition runs from October 3rd, 2025 until March 3, 2026. Botanical artists portray plant subjects with accuracy and artistry. In Plants that Nurture the Body and Soul, artists use a range of different styles, such as 3D works made with paper or pen and ink sketches, as well as a range of mediums such as coloured pencil, watercolour and oil paints.

Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday – Sunday open by request

Vernissage on October 16, 5:30-7:30

Visitors need to pick up a Gallery 200 pass from the main office. Free admission.

The Ottawa Society of Botanical Artists (OSBA) provides its over 40 members a welcoming community for new and experiences artists where they can develop and pursue their interest in botanical art. Membership and art subjects are drawn from the National Capital Region. OSBA aims to create a greater awareness of the region’s botanical artists and the plants they portray.
The School of Dance is a registered Canadian charity which fosters education in the art of dance. The school offers a full range of programs from classical to contemporary dance as well as numerous community outreach activities for learners with intellectual disabilities, for aging adults and long-term hospital residents.
