Filmmakers are trained to take care of their film prints and to protect the print from dust, scratches, chemical stains and more. In this workshop, Cooper wants you to destroy your film’s emulsion and the images you have so carefully composed for you to discover art within a destructive process.

"Short Films and Exquisite Corpse" - Super 8 film workshop

The "Short Films and Exquisite Corpse" workshop, led by Professor Gustavo Fallas, aims to create experimental short films in Super 8, offering practical experience in cinematic language and surrealist elements. The workshop will walk students through creating experimental short film narratives as well as practical elements of the Super 8 camera.

Participants will work in groups through an exquisite corpse exercise—a surrealist practice to generate collective ideas— as the starting point for the initial script, followed by script writing, material review, location scouting, and pre-production.
