“INSCAPES From Colour To Joy ” by Eva Meyer

Galerie Old Chelsea is pleased to present a vibrant new exhibition exploring emotion, colour, and the healing power of creative expression. Through acrylic paint and a wide variety of mark-making tools, Eva Meyer invites viewers into an experience that feels like an artist’s playground—one where playful experimentation and a deep love of nature come together on canvas.

Eva’s work is an exploration of emotion and colour, built on an intuitive approach to painting. Using the movement of her brush as a guide, she follows colour combinations as they unfold—allowing mystery, joy, and meaning to emerge naturally. “By following the tracks of the paint brush and the unfolding colour combinations, I express deep feelings and the many intricate patterns of this world,” Eva shares. “Often an imaginary place unfolds—subconsciously influenced by my years of observation and experience.”

Eva has been drawn to intricate details and beauty from a young age. This first appeared in years of childhood drawing, followed by a lifelong love of photography—capturing the beauty of nature and the way light reveals it. Many years later, she found herself drawn to expressing herself in paint. What began as a healing journey became a full-time practice: playing with the wonderful world of colour and intuitive painting. Her process transforms canvas into a space for exploration, reflection, and joy—offering viewers a visual language of wonder and emotional depth.

In Eva’s words, life has many turns. Her greatest wish is to share the message of nature’s beauty and value with more people, and to offer the joy of painting to those who want to heal from life’s trials—transforming pain into joy, using a ‘blank canvas’ for an expression of self.”
