Call for Artists! Autumn In The Country Russell’s Arts Festival

Autumn in the Country invites artists from the Ottawa area to be part of our 2026 festival, taking place September 18–20. Autumn in the Country celebrates creativity in all its forms and encourages artists at every stage of their career to apply. We welcome expressions of interest from artists working in all mediums—painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, jewelry, mixed media, and more.
There are multiple ways to get involved! The Gallery Wall allows artists to submit 1-2 pieces for the whole weekend for show. The Artist Alley is a marketplace where artists can set up their tables and showcase their talent. Battle of the Brushes is a live event that encourages community connection. And there is still a few spots left on our studio tour, showcasing art in and around Russell.

Our festival is rooted in community connection—offering visitors the chance to meet artists, experience the creative process firsthand, and discover one-of-a-kind works across a variety of venues and outdoor settings. We are especially interested in hearing how best to support and showcase your artistic practice. This year, we are taking a more collaborative approach and invite artists to share their ideas for participation.
