For many years, “Pira” Giuliano Pirani has been a beloved presence at the Ottawa School of Art.
As Senior Custodian, Pira has cared for the spaces where creativity happens, quietly supporting generations of artists, students, and staff along the way. But beyond his work at the school, Pira is an artist with a lifelong practice in drawing, printmaking, and painting.
Pira’s Retrospective: Lasting Impressions celebrates both the artwork he has created and the impact he has had on the OSA community. This exhibition brings together pieces from across his life, offering a glimpse into the curiosity, humour, and creativity that many at the school have come to know so well.
Hosted in the OSA vitrines, this special community exhibition and fundraiser sale invites visitors to experience Pira’s work while coming together in support of someone who has contributed so much to life at the school. 100% of proceeds from artwork sales will go directly to supporting Pira.
Through this exhibition, we celebrate the lasting impressions Pira has made on our studios, our community, and the many people who have passed through the halls of the Ottawa School of Art.
Join us for the Vernissage on March 15 at 1:00pm – 3:30pm in the Ottawa School of Art Downtown Campus lobby – 35 George St, Ottawa, ON K1N 8W5
The exhibition and sale will take place March 12 – 26, 2026.
