International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO)

The International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO) returns March 11–22, 2026, bringing bold Canadian and international cinema to the heart of the Capital. Presented annually by the Canadian Film Institute, IFFO takes place at the Ottawa Art Gallery, the ByTowne Cinema, and other downtown venues, transforming the city core into a vibrant hub for film lovers and industry professionals alike.
IFFO’s Official Selection features 30 acclaimed Canadian and international feature films, each paired with a new Canadian short, showcasing emerging and established voices side by side.

Beyond the screen, IFFO offers signature programs including Canadian Masters, featuring an in-depth conversation with acclaimed filmmaker Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar), and The Gaze, amplifying underrepresented perspectives in contemporary cinema. Industry events include the SAVE AS symposium (March 19), focused on film preservation and access, and the IFFO Screen Summit & OFO Career Fair (March 20–21), connecting creators, students, and professionals across Ottawa’s growing screen-based industries.
