MASC Artist Open Call – Apply Now to Join Our Professional Roster

MASC is now accepting applications from professional artists interested in joining our roster for the 2026-2027 season. If you are passionate about sharing your artistic practice with schools and communities, this is a unique opportunity to expand your impact,
grow your arts education experience, and connect with audiences across the National Capital Region.

MASC (Multicultural Arts in Schools and Communities) represents a roster of more than 55 professional artists and artist groups of diverse backgrounds, who annually offer over 1500 workshops, 500 performances, and 100 in-depth artist residencies to more than
170,000 participants. Our artists identify with a wide range of diverse communities and offer programming in all artistic disciplines, including music, dance, drama, circus arts, literary arts, media arts, and visual arts.

We are seeking artists who:

Are recognized professionals in their discipline

Have experience teaching or facilitating programs in school or community settings

Offer engaging, original, curriculum-relevant arts programming

Are committed to equity, diversity, and meaningful community engagement

Selected applicants will be invited to move through MASC’s evaluation process, which may include an interview and program audition. Artists who join the MASC roster gain access to steady opportunities to deliver workshops, performances, and residencies in schools
and community venues throughout the region.

Applications are open now until January 31. Due to the volume of submissions, only selected applicants will be contacted.

If you are a working artist who is passionate about arts education, we encourage you to apply before the deadline and explore the possibility of joining MASC’s dynamic community of teaching artists.
