Galerie Old Chelsea is delighted to present the artworks by Lise Butters whose distinctive design sense is characterized by bold compositions and vibrant colour choices.

Lise Butters’ artistic odyssey began with photography while in college which laid the groundwork for her creative vision. Her subsequent adventures across Europe immersed her in the world of fashion, an experience that profoundly influenced her aesthetic sensibilities and inspired her transition into painting. It is this rich tapestry of experiences that she now brings to life in her new and unique collection.

Her works transcend traditional boundaries, offering viewers a unique fusion of artistic exploration and emotional depth. Over the fifteen years since Butters has taken to painting, she has cultivated a loyal following of art enthusiasts and collectors who are drawn to her innovative approach and captivating style.
Now based in Ottawa with her partner, Butters continues to push the limits of her creativity. Her latest works, featured in this exhibition, showcase her unwavering commitment to creating immersive and thought-provoking art. The show promises to offer a rich and engaging experience for all who come to see the show.

Galerie Old Chelsea is a collective of regional artists located in the beautiful Gatineau Hills above award-winning Les Fougères restaurant situated at 783 route 105, Chelsea, Québec, J9B1P1.
