In the summer of 2023, members of the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective undertook a collaborative exchange with printmakers from the Manorhamilton Print Group in Ireland.
Through the exchange and overprinting of small prints mailed back and forth across the Atlantic, the 'Postmarked' residency allowed artists from the two groups to experiment with virtual collaboration. Each artist created one base print that their partner collaborator, based in the other country, would overprint, adding their visual elements to the initial base print.
Each of the resulting artworks shows the imprint of two printmakers' creativity.
