A group exhibition by the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective, “Beyond the Postcard: Prints from Away” presents work by 18 artists exploring the theme of travel, and recalling the classic postcard, either explicitly or implicitly. With 29 works made using varied printmaking techniques ? including monotype, linocut, drypoint, etching, collagraph and silkscreen ? this exhibition transports viewers to faraway places, to gaze on towns and their inhabitants, landscapes, seascapes, flora and fauna, and even outer space.
