44.4 Mother/Artist Collective: Collage to Beat the Blahs
February is hard. It’s cold and grey and the winter feels endless. We are thrilled to invite you to join us for the second 44.4 Mother/Artist Collective Monthly: Collage to Beat the Blahs at the Ottawa Art Gallery Studio on Sunday February 23rd, 3-5pm. Free childcare is available. Join Robyn Bragg for a few hours of fun, play, and conversation as we tap into our whimsy and creativity to make collages that connect us to the things that give us joy. Other 44.4 members who will be present will be: Sarah Jane Estabrooks and Greta Grip. It’s a great way to get unstuck, try new things and generate ideas for your next art project.
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your favourite magazines and collage materials.
These 2 hours are meant to spark connection and nourish creativity in the often-isolated mom/artist life. The 44.4 Mother/Artist Collective is a Canadian art collective based in the National Capital Region of Ottawa, Canada. Our mission is to empower mother/artists through collective exhibitions and dialogue while challenging societal norms and promoting inclusivity and equality for caregivers in the present time.
