THE PAVILION - CASTING CALL

PAID, NON-UNION, low-budget indie production, shooting for 10 days in July 2023 in the Ottawa area.
SYNOPSIS: A brother and sister are sent to live with their relatives during WWII. When an Old Woman selling firewood visits, the children believe that she is a witch who can restore their mother's health. They go on a journey to find her, taking a rowboat down the river to the Old Woman's cottage.

ROLES AVAILABLE:
All roles are non-speaking. Experience with emoting through physicality and facial expression is essential. Experience in dance or gymnastics is an asset, particularly for child roles.
Brother, Age 6-9, sensitive, quiet, curious
Sister, Age 9-11, takes charge, protective, watchful
**Sibling pairs are welcome!**
Old Woman, 70-80s, striking appearance, long hair streaked with grey or silver, sharp eyes.
Aunt, 50s-60s, greying or grey hair, matronly, prim.
Uncle, 50s-60s, greying or grey hair / balding, intimidating, walks with a cane.

Casting is open to individuals in Ottawa, Gatineau, and surrounding areas.
