2027 Schedule

The Art-image Exhibition Centre, located at the Maison de la culture de Gatineau, invites artists to submit contemporary art exhibition proposals for its 2027 program. We are looking for innovative, meaningful projects grounded in current practices, accompanied by recent works.

As a museum institution integrated within a large cultural complex, Art-image offers exceptional visibility. Its exhibitions, accessible to a broad audience, benefit from professional installation and promotion managed by the centre’s team in close collaboration with the artist. An exhibition fee is provided in accordance with current standards.

Art-image is located on the first floor of the Maison de la culture de Gatineau, directly adjacent to the main corridor and the Salle Odyssée. The space is a rectangular, enclosed gallery with white walls, equipped with adjustable theatrical lighting to highlight a wide variety of artistic proposals. Works of all formats, including installations, are eligible.

Who can apply?
This call is open to professional contemporary artists from the National Capital Region (Gatineau–Ottawa), Quebec, Ontario, and across Canada.

Application contents
Proposals must include:
A curriculum vitae (max. 2 pages)
An artist statement (max. 300 words)
A description of the proposed exhibition project (max. 500 words)
Up to 10 images with descriptive captions and/or an audio or video excerpt (max. 2 minutes)
