Galerie Old Chelsea is delighted to present an immersive exhibition showcasing a first collaborative art show by Catherine Parker and Kathryn Hughes. The show brings together the distinct yet harmonious visions of two mixed-media artists whose work dances between abstraction and storytelling. It is a celebration of creative flow and artistic synchronicity.
Catherine and Kathryn met in 2023 and quickly formed a powerful artistic bond. Despite working independently, their shared passion for personal, story-rich, and vibrant artwork has evolved into a collaborative conversation on canvas. Their connection, forged through creativity and curiosity, led to this debut joint exhibition exploring the space where the seen meets the unseen, and imagination flows into reality.
Catherine Parker’s semi-abstract mixed-media works are layered with meaning and memory, often weaving together cherished objects, mystical beings, and surreal landscapes. Her pieces act as microcosms of the human experience, grounded in both the deeply personal and the universally magical.
Kathryn Hughes’ abstract paintings are emotional maps — bold, intuitive expressions of love, joy, and transformation. Her work invites viewers into a landscape of feeling, where colour and movement guide the heart like stars on a journey home.
In Between is more than a title — it’s a theme, a process, and a shared language. The show explores the liminal space between dreaming and doing, between vision and manifestation. For both artists, the act of painting is a kind of wayfinding — one guided by instinct, connection, and creative flow.
Join Catherine and Kathryn in this vibrant, immersive exhibition that invites you to slow down, look closer, and step into a world where the boundaries between imagination and reality dissolve.
