“Art Unleashed” by 20 Philemon Wright HS Students

“Art Unleashed” by 20 Philemon Wright HS Students
Galerie Old Chelsea, Chelsea, Quebec
January 23 to February 2, 2025 - Wednesday to Sunday noon to 5 pm (winter hours)
Vernissage: Saturday January 25, 1 to 4 pm

Galerie Old Chelsea is pleased to present “Art Unleashed” which captures the essence of creative freedom and self-expression by 20 Grade 9 through 11 students. The art works are the culmination of their journey of releasing their ideas, emotions, and imaginations into their art, uninhibited by convention. Throughout the course, these 15- to 17-year-olds have been encouraged to break away from boundaries, experiment with different materials, explore their personal interests, and push the limits of their artistic abilities to develop their unique voices.

Each artwork reflects a journey of self-discovery, as the students hone their skills and embrace a range of mediums, from traditional techniques to innovative approaches. The diversity of their work highlights not only their individual talents but also their growing confidence as emerging artists, ready to share their perspectives with the world. “Art Unleashed’ symbolizes the boundless energy and individuality these young artists bring to their craft, offering a unique window into their evolving styles and visions. This show is meant to showcase their talent and the art will not be for sale but do come to explore their burgeoning creativity.

Galerie Old Chelsea is a collective of regional artists located in the beautiful Gatineau Hills above award-winning Les Fougères restaurant situated at 783 route 105, Chelsea, Québec, J9B1P1.
