PANSEE ATTA – we liberate one another
October 21, 2023 to March 10, 2024
Based on the output of a 2019 residency with SAW Video, this project was conceived in response to local histories of containment and control. Ottawa’s history, like its geography, closely follows that of the Canal, which originated as a large-scale means of controlling both the natural movement of water and the patterns of human migration and settlement. This project asks: how do we resist these histories of colonial control by becoming excessive, uncontainable?
